Mobile screening cabins for GIFF

From 13 October to 14 November 2015, Minima Cinema’s mobile screening rooms were roaming Switzerland to give audiences a foretaste of the 21st Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) Tous Ecrans.

The project was done by MA Space and Communication students (HEAD–Genève) in association with CineGlobe. We designed a portable device so that Minima Cinema could travel to some of the country’s most iconic cities and visit those people who do not have access to the Festival. Using the original Minima Cinema as a point of departure, and building on the history of traveling cinema through the ages, we created unique works that, while using the Minima Cinema technology and design principles, gave an entirely new and unique look to the cabins.
